Find your way out of addiction with professional alcohol rehab on Zealand
Too many Danes drink too much. And once you get into alcohol abuse, it’s hard to get out on your own. That is why Alfa-Fredensborg offers alcohol rehabilitation on a 24-hour basis.
The latest estimate of how many Danes are addicted to alcohol is over 140,000 people. Yet, according to the National Board of Health, there were only 17,583 people in public alcohol treatment in 2018. So there are thousands of people in Denmark who drink too much – but who are not in alcohol rehabilitation.
One of the reasons for this is that it is very difficult to get out of your addiction on your own. At Alfa-Fredensborg we therefore offer professional alcohol rehabilitation. This way, you are not alone in your rehab – neither as an alcoholic nor as a relative of one.
Read more below about how alcohol rehabilitation can be the first step on the road to a better life – free from addiction.

Our phones are open 24 hours a day, and there is no obligation to call and speak to one of our addiction counsellors.
The telephone conversation will of course be confidential and anonymous.
Alcohol rehabilitation tailored to individual needs
Everyone is different, which means that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to rehab.
Alfa-Fredensborg therefore offers both inpatient and outpatient alcohol rehabilitation.
Our detoxification programme consists of both medical treatment – such as benzodiazepine withdrawal and possibly treatment with Antabuse – and therapeutic counselling. Treatment is therefore adapted to the individual needs of each person. In this way, you will be in the best position to overcome your addiction.

Alcohol rehabilitation in a day care setting
If you are very affected by your alcohol addiction and you may also have other health problems associated with your addiction, residential alcohol rehabilitation may be the best solution.
When you choose this rehab treatment at Alfa-Fredensborg, you get your own room at the centre. A doctor is assigned to the treatment and staff are available around the clock – so you are always in safe hands during the process.
Day treatment can also be a good way to kick-start your alcohol treatment if you want to see quick and effective results. The 24-hour treatment takes place in a sheltered environment far from everyday life and the environment in which you normally move. That way, it can be easier to focus on treatment, break bad habits and get sober.

Outpatient treatment throughout the country
At our partner AlfaRehab we also offer outpatient treatment. Once you have completed your residential alcohol rehabilitation, you have the option of moving to outpatient treatment. In the right circumstances, it is sometimes possible to start outpatient treatment directly.
In outpatient rehab you do not live in the centre, but at your own address. The treatment takes place in the evening after working hours, and you will therefore be able to fit in work, studies and the like during the day.
At AlfaRehab, we offer outpatient relapse treatment, aftercare, family therapy and family treatment.

Get help to get into alcohol rehab at Alfa
When you have an alcohol addiction, it can be difficult to assess what kind of rehab treatment will be the best solution to the problem.
At the same time, very few people who drink too much are able to seek help for alcohol rehabilitation themselves. Most addicts deny that they have an addiction problem, and so they continue to drink. Therefore, it is often the relatives who make the difficult decision that it is time to seek help for alcohol withdrawal.
If you’re not sure whether you have an addiction that needs treatment, take our alcohol test and find out more about your drinking habits. The test is a tool to help you decide if you have an alcohol problem that needs treatment. You can also read more about when you are an alcoholic here.
Whether you have come to the realisation that you drink too much or you are the relative of an alcoholic, you can always contact us for a counselling session. This way we can work together to find the best way for the addict to get through alcohol withdrawal.
